Conference Registration

This page includes information on registration procedures, gala dinner, pre- and post-conference workshops, and Wednesday afternoon excursions. Accommodation links and information are under the Destination page.


REGISTRATION Fees

All amounts are in Euros. Registration amounts below are inclusive of fees (such as those required by Oxford Abstracts, Stripe, Bank transfer).

If you are an IASE, ISI or SSA member, you will be required to enter your membership number during registration.

Registration includes conference materials, admission to all sessions, opening ceremony and welcome reception, closing ceremony, access to the conference app, morning and afternoon teas, coffee cart (8am-12pm), access to discounts including the Brisbane Airtrain and QANTAS domestic and international airfares (from 1 February, 2026). Gala dinner tickets are purchased separately.

  2. The Retired Member categories apply only to current IASE/ISI/SSA retired members.
  3. Full-time Student must be enrolled at an educational institution for the full academic year relevant to 2025-2026 (e.g. northern hemisphere) or 2026 (e.g. southern hemisphere). Proof of full-time enrolment must be sent separately to h.macgillivray@qut.edu.au
  4. Financial support for presenters from developing countries

Through the generosity of sponsors, ICOTS 12 is providing some funds to support people from developing countries who are presenting a paper or a poster at ICOTS 12. Requests for such funding must be received by 28 February, 2026 at the latest. Download the full details for developing country support.

Financial support for early career presenters

Through the generosity of sponsors, ICOTS 12 is providing some funds to support early career people who are presenting a paper or a poster at ICOTS 12. Early career is defined as being within 4 years of your most recent degree. Requests for such funding must be received by 28 February, 2026 at the latest. REGISTRATION Add-ons

Gala Dinner

Join us at the Gala Dinner on Thursday evening (16 July) for a three course dinner from BCEC’s award-winning chefs featuring global influences brought to life through Queensland’s exceptional local produce. You will be greeted with a drink on the Plaza Terrace before moving into the Plaza Terrace Dining Room for an evening of food and entertainment. A bar will be available for you to purchase your chosen accompanying dinner beverages.

The Gala Dinner is €65.

Pre-conference workshops

A rich programme of pre-conference workshops on Saturday (11 July) and Sunday (12 July) will be available early in 2026. These will be in the add-ons in your Oxford Abstract account. Those already registered will receive notification when these become available as each workshop will have its own maximum number possible.

Excursions

On Wednesday afternoon/evening (15 July) there will be variety of interesting excursions featuring Australian fauna, flora, experiences, locations, scenery and food. Information will be available by the end of 2025 or early in 2026. These will be in the add-ons in your Oxford Abstract account. Those already registered will receive notification when these become available as each excursion choice will have its own maximum number possible.  

A number of excursions to carefully selected locations will be for the afternoon and evening, and include dinner at excursion locations, while others will be afternoon or evening, thus providing flexibility in both choices and prices.
